Another day in Manchester.

As you can probably tell by now, I love a day in Manchester. I go quite often to meet with friends and last week I just found myself on the train on my way to the beautiful city once again to meet my beautiful friend, Hannah. We try and meet up as often as we can, which isn't very often as we are both working mothers trying to juggle everything with one hand. But when we do manage to organise something we go all out, either a night in Manchester or a whole day (breakfast, lunch and dinner kind of day)

Once we had both got to Manchester for about 10am we went off to find the bus to the Trafford Centre. We had previously decided to have a day there for a change. Once we got to the Trafford Centre we found ourselves almost instantly at the MAC makeup counter in Selfridges. Hannah bought a few bits, I on the other hand was very well behaved but am now regretting it. Once we left the MAC counter we ended up having a little wonder around Selfridges, drooling over Jimmy Choo's, Michael Kors and of course, Krispy Kreme and on that note we realised it was lunch time. So we bopped along to the food court to decide what we were going to eat and of course we had to have burgers so we decided on Gourmet Burger Kitchen which we were so so so excited about (being two slimming world chicks on a cheat day/week/month/year haha)
We both indulged in grilled chicken burgers drizzled with mustard mayonaise which was just the most heavenly flavour I have ever tasted each with the biggest bowls of skinny fries I have ever seen. (Skinny fries make you skinny right?) we spent a good hour catching up, gossiping and eating it was glorious.
Once we had done lunch we went and wondered around the Trafford centre taking in all it had to offer (the variety of high street stores) popping into the usual ones, Topshop, River Island, Zara and Next. Oh and we did have a little nose around Monsoon, which ended up in Hannah helping me into a few different wedding dresses, which was exciting.
We decided, after mooching around all that the centre had to offer to return back to the city centre, so we went and got our bus which then we ended up getting off too soon, a zillion miles away from the centre but we didn't mind so much as we stopped off and had a cocktail on our jaunt.
Hannah having a Purple Rain and I having my usual Tequila Sunrise. Once our cocktails were no more than just an empty glass with a straw in we headed to Primark (because you cannot go to Manchester without visiting their stupidly big Primark) then finally going for a quick brew with a pieace of cake to end our wonderful day.
