Fundraise with fashion.

A month or two ago, I got asked by my best friend if I would like to be including in a fashion show to raise money for a local charity called Open Door Family Centre. Of course I couldn't say no because it was for charity and a very good one at that.
Open Door Family Centre is a welsh charity based in Welshpool. It is a centre that helps families, young people and children. It is a very important charity within the community that focuses on the development and welfare of children within families to reduce statutory intervention. Which improves a lot of children, young people and families lives which is such a brilliant thing in itself.

The fashion show was held at The Old Station in Welshpool, which was an Edinburgh Woollen Mill. It is such a lovely shop in itself. It has a few different departments which include, clothing, home, food, golf and the most loveliest cafe which was where the fashion show was held. The staff had put on such a wonderful spread of cake too, which ranged from coffee and walnut, chocolate, Victoria sponge and scones with fresh strawberries and cream. Oh, and it was all home made, which made is all a thousand times more beautiful and tasty.
The clothes were Edinburgh Woollen Mill, which are aimed at the more mature lady but they were still lovely. There was six female models including myself and two male and we each had five outfit changes. Here are a few pictures my best friend Bryony took on my camera.
All in all it was such a wonderful evening filled with cake, fundraising, lovely clothes and brilliant company. Open Doors Family Centre raised about £300 from the evening, which I think is wonderful for such a good cause.
