Family beach day and Baravin lunch.

As Dean and I have been working none stop we thought we would make the time on our first day off together with Freya with nothing planned to have a day out to the coast with lunch out.
We decided to have lunch at a resturant called Baravin which is on the sea front in Aberystwyth which had a cool minimalistic yet rustic vibe, which chalk board specials menus, local pastries and a beautiful sea view.
Dean ordered a tomato and basil pasta and I ordered a margarita pizza, the drinks took a while to come considering we were one of three tables in the resturant and we had only ordered water and a diet coke. Which was disapointing as we had hoped from the prices and up market type resturant they advertise.
Once our food came the pizza and tomato salad I ordered (and shared with Freya) was beautiful, I couldn't fault it but Dean on the other hand was not impressed, his pasta was very bland. It was such a shame because he was looking so forward to it.
After lunch we drove back towards home, driving through Borth and stopping at the beach both, Dean and I used to visit with our parents when we were as small as Freya.
Freya really enjoyed playing in the sand and also loved her first ever time in the sea. She didn't want to come out. So that was mine and Deans cue to alternate who goes in the sea with her. Which was so much fun. We played jump the waves and watched people having surfing lessons. Oh and of course had a lush ice cream because you can't go to the seaside without having an icecream.

  2. What a peaceful-looking bistro! It seems like it's the perfect place to have lunch when you're at the sea. I wish you took photos of the sea view, though. Maybe next time? In any case, I'm glad both you and Dean enjoyed the basil pasta and the margarita pizza. The beach definitey looked fun, and I hope you get to enjoy more fun days like that. All the best! :)
